Start with the room, not the product
Three questions decide almost everything: how much wall or floor you can spare, whether you want heat or only flame, and whether the room is traditional or modern. Answer those and the category chooses itself.
The eight ranges
Wall mounted electric fireplaces — linear, smart, recessed and 3-sided models from 30 to 72 inches. The widest choice, and the best fit for a long blank wall.
Electric fireplace inserts — drop into an existing masonry opening with no venting. The least disruptive route back to a working hearth.
Electric log sets — a fire without the surround. Log sets from 18 to 36 inches, with or without heat, some with crackling sound.
Corner electric fireplaces — angled units, TV stands, mantels and wall panels that use the one part of a room that normally does nothing.
Mantel and TV stand fireplaces — consoles from 48 to 65 inches that hold the screen and hide the cables.
Mirrored electric fireplaces — reflective surrounds that make a small room look bigger.
Electric stoves — cast-iron look, log store and real flame, for rooms with no chimney breast.
Outdoor electric fireplaces — patio-ready units for porches, terraces and garden rooms.
What every Ember Peak fire has in common
A 1,500W element rated at 5,200 BTU, which heats 400 to 600 square feet and costs about 22 cents an hour at full output. A flame that runs independently of the heater, so the fire works as lighting from spring to autumn. A thermostat that cycles rather than a switch that only says high or low. A remote, a timer and a 12-month warranty on the element and control board.
We inspect the flame, the thermostat, the cord and the plug before anything leaves the yard, because a fireplace that arrives with a rattle is one you resent for years.
Delivery and returns
Everything ships tracked within 2 to 5 business days. Shipping is a flat $50 under $1,000 and free over $1,000, with a $150 minimum order. Returns run 30 days on unopened units.
