Corner Electric Fireplaces

A corner is the one part of a room that usually does nothing. An angled fireplace turns it into a feature without touching a wall, a flue or a chimney, and it takes about half an hour to install.
Which corner fireplace suits which room
Freestanding angled units sit at 45 degrees and give you a deeper firebox, a visible log arrangement and the look of a real hearth. They need around 13 inches of floor at the widest point.
Corner wall mounted panels bridge the two walls and leave the floor completely clear. Best in small flats, modern rooms and rented homes where nothing can be built in.
Corner TV stands and storage units put the fire in the middle of furniture you needed anyway, so the corner holds the screen, the console and the fire in one footprint.
Corner inserts revive an existing angled opening with four screws and no venting. Measure the front, the back and the depth before ordering, because an insert has to pass through the tightest measurement, not the widest.
What to measure
Take both returns of the corner, from the corner itself out to the nearest door, window or radiator. The shorter figure decides what will fit. Then check the socket: every unit here runs on a standard 120V outlet with a 72-inch cord, usually exiting on the right.
Leave 25cm above, 5cm to each side wall and 90cm clear in front. Corners attract furniture, and a sofa pushed up against the glass will trap warm air and trip the cut-off within twenty minutes.
Heat, cost and noise
All our corner fireplaces run a 1,500W element rated at 5,200 BTU, which heats 400 to 600 square feet comfortably. At the US average of about 15 cents per kWh, full heat costs roughly 22 to 23 cents an hour, and the thermostat usually brings a typical evening closer to 15 to 17 cents. Flame-only mode draws a few watts.
Bedroom units run at 38dB on low heat and dim to ember-only for overnight use. Living-room models are louder at full output, which is the right trade for a larger firebox.
Fitting one yourself
No flue, no gas, no vent, no trade. Level the feet against both walls, because corners are rarely square, and route the cord behind the base rather than across the floor. Freestanding units take half an hour. Wall-mounted panels take about forty minutes with two people and the supplied template.
Everything ships tracked in 2 to 5 business days: flat $50 under $1,000, free over $1,000. If your corner is awkward, send the two measurements to us on the contact page and we will tell you what fits, including when the answer is to buy less.
